I thought I taught you better than this…

I’m pretty much OCD when it comes to matching. Picking out my kid’s clothes can get time consuming because of this, so I always do it the night before. And with girls?  Well the bow, the shoes, and the earrings need to match so that takes a little more of my time. Yesterday, just a little piece of my heart broke when Rilyn showed me her Barbie that she dressed herself.

From February 2009

Here as I sit with only Asher home, I am struggling to refrain myself from redressing that Barbie. Just turn away Julie, just turn away.

It is very Sarah Jessica Parker. I think it is okay for shoes not to match as long as the shoes make a statement…which those do! But what do I know I have been in Africa for 6 months. I am sure Asher and James will soon balance out the girls and barbis in the house with wrestling, footballs and soccer balls. Nathan already loves “wrestling” with daddy and throwing balls back in forth. love you guys and hope to get a chance to see you this summer.

When Eddie was reading this over my shoulder, his comment was “So I guess that outfit doesn’t go???”
